Deal or No Deal Series 3

Deal or No Deal returns to Studio 1 for 120 episodes, with Stephen Mulhern once again guiding contestants through the nation’s favourite game of nerve and luck. In the classic format, players must decide whether to stick with their mystery box or make a deal with the Banker. Who will hold their nerve and beat the Banker?

Catchphrase series 11

Catchphrase returned to Studio 2 this year with Stephen Mulhern and a brand-new line-up of celebrities. The latest series (10 x 60’) is commissioned by Katie Rawcliffe, Director of Entertainment & Daytime Commissioning, and Gemma John-Lewis, Entertainment Commissioner for ITV, ITVX, STV and STV Player. Produced by STV Studios Entertainment, the series is executive produced by Gary Chippington, Creative Director of the label.

The Last Musician of Auschwitz

The Last Musician of Auschwitz - The extraordinary story of cellist Anita Lasker-Wallfisch alongside other victims of the camp who played and created music amidst the terrors of the Holocaust. Produced by Two Rivers Media and scenes shot in Studio 1.

Jools Hollands Annual Hootenanny 2024 -2025

The latest Hootenanny aired on New Years Eve 2024 here at Maidstone Studios with a rich mix of legends to see in the New Year. Featuring a host of brand new stars and artists who have had huge success in 2024, The Boomtown Rats, CMAT, Jade, Jungle, Kathy Sledge, Marc Almond, Paul Carrack, Roger Taylor of Queen, Ruby Turner, Toby Lee, and The Dead South.

Greg James Radio 1 Detention

Greg was escorted out of the Radio 1 studios in the middle of Going Home with Vick, Katie and Jamie to Maidstone Studios. Greg ended up stuck in a classroom/ studio hybrid - complete with a livestream for listeners to watch Greg's new back to school set-up. He was indefinitely locked in detention and couldn't leave, many of his fellow Radio 1 presenters ended up stuck in there with him - and even the likes of Jack Remmington and Mollie Pearce from the Traitors!

Deal or No Deal

Series 2 of Deal or No Deal recorded a total of 121 episodes in Studio 1. This iconic game show hosted by Stephen Mulhern, sees 1 contestant out of 22 selected at random, to make high-stake decisions to win up to £100,000. With the return of its well-known red boxes and the mysterious Banker ready to stop them in their tracks. The show blends luck, strategy and tension, captivating audiences as players decide whether to take the bankers deal or risk it all and test their luck right up until the last box.

The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar

Maidstone Studios hosted Wes Anderson’s acclaimed short film, *The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar*, across multiple areas at the studios. The production utilised Studio 1, Studio 2, several custom-built outdoor sets on our backlot, and various ancillary spaces for hair, makeup, props, and catering. Based on the Roald Dahl classic, the 39-minute adaptation won the Oscar for Best Short Film in 2024

Blankety Blank

Blankety Blank is a classic British game show now hosted by Bradley Walsh. Filmed at Maidstone Studios, the show features contestants trying to match answers with a celebrity panel in a humorous fill-in-the-blank format. Filmed in Studio 1, the show accommodates a live audience of up to 300 people, adding to the vibrant and interactive atmosphere of the show. Alongside ‘Blankety Blank’, many of our other productions also offer the excitement of being part of a live studio audience.

Genius Games

‘Genius Games’, hosted by David Tennant as ‘The Creator’, was filmed at Maidstone Studios in Studio 1. Contestants use their unique skills to compete in matches that test their analytical reasoning, attention to detail and loyalty. Contestants must form alliances, navigate strategic challenges, and decide who to trust or betray to survive and win. The format combines intense mental challenges with strategic gameplay, offering a thrilling viewing experience.

The Makery (Sky Kids)

Filmed in Studio 2, The Makery is a vibrant and creative children’s show designed to inspire young audiences to get hands-on with arts and crafts. Hosted by engaging presenters, the show features fun DIY projects, encouraging children to use their imagination and creativity. It’s a hit among families looking for educational and entertaining content.

Catchphrase

The long-running game show ‘Catchphrase’ has also called our studios home for multiple series. Hosted by Stephen Mulhern in its modern incarnation, this show challenges contestants to identify well-known phrases represented by animated clues. The iconic "Mr. Chips" character and the show’s famous tagline, "say what you see," is a staple of British television.

Hootenanny

Jools Holland’s Hootenanny is a much-anticipated New Year’s Eve celebration filmed in Studio 1. This annual musical extravaganza features live performances from some of the biggest names in music, along with rising stars. The show’s festive atmosphere excels with an eclectic mix of music genres, making it a must-watch as viewers and a live audience, including celebrities, ring in the New Year with a night full of outstanding live music.

Sort Your Life Out

Sort Your Life Out (1 episode) recorded in Studio 1: Stacey Solomon and her team help families transform their homes and lives. In this popular reality series, participants embark on a journey to declutter and reorganize their spaces, creating a more functional and peaceful living environment. With Stacey’s warm guidance and practical tips, the show inspires viewers to sort out their own lives, making room for what truly matters.
